The 2020 Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride which takes place on Saturday 5th/ December are thrilled to have been donated with a 36-year-old Methuselah of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial by former International show jumping rider, George Stewart from Danescroft Equestrian Centre, Lisburn.
George was on the 1984 winning Nation’s Cup team for the Aga Khan Trophy at Dublin Horse Show along with Lieut. John Ledingham, Jack Doyle and Eddie Macken. Following their win, they were each presented with the Champagne.
George, who doesn’t like champagne, left his in the house unopened for 36 years and has generously donated it to Joan Cunningham (Organizer of the Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride) to raise funds for this year’s event.
After considerable thought, we decided to raffle this Champagne selling a limited number of tickets at £5 each.
